What Is Adobe Lightroom 4
Hi guys,I'm, hoping someone can give me some insight or help with my problem. I've been using a MacBook 2015 8GB to edit my images in Lightroom (latest version).
Recently, I upgraded to a Microsoft Surface Book 16gb 1TBSSD with NVIDIA GPU i7 because I wanted something a little faster for Adobe Premiere editing. To this date, my MacBook is ultra fast with Lightroom. The scrolling is without lag, the previews load within a second or less, I can hold down the arrow keys and cycle through endless photos without a problem. I can also slide, say the exposure, all the way up and then back down smoothly. Now, here's the problem (and thank you for hearing me out). The surface book is superior with the premiere editing and playback.
With Lightroom however, all the above stated that was achievable with my macbook is not with this. Scrolling through is jolty. Clicking on a preview takes more than a few seconds to render, and when holding down a key to cycle through it will lag severly (if I hold it down for a few seconds it will continue scrolling and I can't access anything until it's stopped scrolling.) It is also slow in showing the adjustments such as exposure.I am bewildered as to why there is such a huge difference when the Surface is superior. I've updated the books software, updated lightroom, and updated my GPU drivers. I really don't want to take this thing back, but I spend most of my working time on Lightroom. Can anyone help my situation?Thank you in advance.
